Happy New Year! The year starts off “at full steam.” There is no time to hesitate or procrastinate, as seriousness is required from day one. January brings 11 new conjunctions (beginnings of cycles) in a single month, something unprecedented. The universe is not giving time to tie up loose ends from the past; the new wave simply arrives. For Aquarius, the month begins with deep work behind the scenes and ends with a powerful and visible awakening.
- Full Moon in the 6th House: January 3rd The month opens with a Full Moon in your 6th House (health, routine, debts). It is conjunct Jupiter and the star Sirius (the brightest star, linked to Christ and Isis consciousness).
There may be a “Eureka” moment regarding your health. You might find the right supplement, a cure, or see the results of a healthy routine you have already been practicing. The 6th House rules debts (financial or spiritual). You might pay off a loan or feel you have cleared a “debt” with someone, being absolved of an obligation or a burden of caring for others. If you have employees or contractors, they will “shine” and deliver results. If you work for someone, you will receive rewards for a job well done behind the scenes.
- The Invisible Work: 12th House (From January 4th to 20th) Although the year starts fast, for Aquarius, the real action happens “backstage,” in the 12th House. We have several conjunctions here, the most important being that of the Sun and Mars (a two-year cycle).
Where the Sun and Mars meet is where you must mobilize your willpower. In the 12th House, the battle is internal. It is the time to use conscious willpower to overcome addictions, self-sabotaging behaviors, anxieties, or hidden patterns. You will have opportunities to heal childhood or past-life traumas that arise through dreams or memories. It is a period of subconscious “cleaning” to set yourself free. It may mark the beginning of a deep research project, spiritual studies, or plans involving distant and foreign places. Your subconscious will be very busy. You will need to find healthy ways to “escape reality” and relax (such as yoga or retreats), instead of using negative escapisms.
- The Great Awakening: 1st House (Starting January 20th) During the first 20 days, you may feel like you are “daydreaming” or in need of rest, but from the 20th onward, you reconnect with the world. The energy shifts into your sign, Aquarius.
Around the 19th-21st, Mercury meets the Sun at zero degrees of Aquarius. The phone rings, emails arrive, meetings happen. You wake up to the world. In the last 10 days, we will have conjunctions of Mars and Pluto in your sign. This is described as “Iron Man” energy. Pluto brings a divine will. Even if you do not want it, you will be pushed toward powerful new beginnings. This affects your physical health, your personal strength, and how you project yourself to the world. All of this prepares the ground for an eclipse in Aquarius that will occur in February (the first in 9 years in your sign).
